Selecting the right degree.

Some degree courses are better for you than others but it is important to remember that high percentage of jobs available to new graduates is open to people with a degree in any subject. So, if you are not sure what you want to do when you graduate, it's safe to study a subject you know you will enjoy, even if it's not one that qualifies you for a particular career.

There are some careers which it is nearly impossible to enter without first gaining the appropriate, directly relevant degree qualification like medicine or architecture. If you've considered your career options thoroughly and are sure you want to enter one of these fields there is no point applying for any other course.

It is also important not to let the current employment market conditions to dictate your choice of future career or degree subject. Situation on the employment market changes and by the time you graduate the situation may be completely different. You will enjoy much more studying and working in area that suits your interest and matched your abilities and skills.
